Space Adventures is teaming up with SpaceX to help you go on your very own Space adventure. Space Adventures is a private space tourism company that has given private astronauts such as Guy Laliberté Mark Shuttleworth and Anousheh Ansari some nice space vacays.
This news is actually not that surprising since SpaceX has been working toward certifying its Dragon for human flight through the Commercial Crew program with NASA. It is only a few months away from its first NASA mission with NASA astronauts–a demo mission to the ISS.
Crew Dragon can carry up to four passengers per flight and Elon Musk, SpaceX CEO and founder has talked about flying space tourists on the Crew dragon before. He used an example of Soyuz as a model that would be a possibility for Crew Dragon once it is in operation.
The Space Adventures collab with SpaceX is expected to start sometime in late 2021 or in 2022 and will fly its passengers higher than any have flown before during a trip to space. Soon, we will see Facebook check-ins at Outer Space, The Moon, maybe even Stratosphere. People will definitely get creative.
